From there, the actual resolution will be revealed by the presenting executive teams.

Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from one of three case studies.

Case Study Topics

Case Study C (Alberta Room) – The Home Comfort (R)evolution– How Reliance Disrupted its Comfortable Workplace and Transformed Itself into a High-Performance Culture

In 2013, Reliance Home Comfort described itself as a culture that was family-like, caring and comfortable. Fast-forward three years later and welcome to the new Reliance – an organization its people now describe using words like “growth”, “accountability”, “continuous improvement”, “collaborative” and “team-oriented”. With the results to boot...

What happened?

Join us as Kelly DeGurse from Reliance Home Comfort takes us through the Reliance transformation and Waterstone’s role in assisting with this fascinating cultural assessment.

Presenter: Kelly DeGurse, Director, Human Resources and Organizational Development, Reliance Home Comfort

Moderator: Hira Mubasher, Director, Executive Search & Recruitment, Waterstone Human Capital

Case Study D (BC Room) Cybersecurity – How it Threatens Not Just Your Business, But Also Your People and Culture

If your organization was hacked, or otherwise had its security compromised, what impact would it have not just on your business but on how your people trust your organization and view its culture?

Join security expert Eugene Ng, as he shows the audience, in real time, how easily a breach can happen. Through various cases, Ng will also demonstrate how organizations can build a culture of deterrence and vigilance, regardless of the industry they are in. A must-attend for any attendees interested in understanding how a culture of security helps attract and retain talent.

Presenter: Eugene Ng, Cyber Security Leader, Eastern Canada, MNP

Moderator: Jennifer Mondoux, Managing Director, Waterstone

Case Study E (Quebec Room) – On-Time Performance and The Story of Cultural Evolution at Air Canada

The cultural evolution of Air Canada, Canada’s largest domestic, U.S. transborder and international airline, is in many ways a public story. In this fascinating case study, Arielle Meloul-Wechsler, the vice president of human resources, will reveal how the airline not only met key On- Time Performance metrics (even as they added complexity to the network with capacity increases and new destinations), but also how this initiative served as a springboard for cultural change.

Presenter: Arielle Meloul-Wechsler, Vice President, Human Resources, Air Canada

Moderator: Erin Prueter, Associate, Executive Search and Recruitment, Waterstone Human Capital
